Arcadia Pittwater’s cancer day rehabilitation program is designed to assist you and your family address the physical and psychological needs which may accompany a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
This day rehabilitation program is tailored to the needs of people:
- with a primary or secondary cancer diagnosis
- who are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy
- who are deconditioned and want to re-establish their pre-treatment fitness
Depending on your program, rehabilitation sessions are generally scheduled two to three times a week. Each session normally lasts one-and-a-half to two hours each.
Programs are developed following a comprehensive assessment by our experienced multidisciplinary team, which comprises rehabilitation specialists, exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, speech pathologists, psychologists and nurses.
