Our individualised program is delivered with input from our multidisciplinary team, which includes physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, speech pathologists and rehabilitation specialists.
Members of our team are Parkinson’s Disease warrior certified with expertise in exercise prescription. Our speech pathologist is Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) trained, which is a type of voice and speech treatment specifically designed for people living with Parkinson’s Disease.
Patient programs are based on individual goals, and take into account individual needs and concerns.
Who is the program suitable for
Our Parkinson’s Disease inpatient rehabilitation program is tailored to the needs of people:
- who are having difficulty moving or performing everyday activities living with Parkinson’s Disease
- who are reconditioning after a recent fall and/or injury due to Parkinson’s Disease
- who have speech and/or swallowing difficulties associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
Our Parkinson’s Disease rehabilitation programs are available as either inpatient programs or day programs.
